At Kentucky Botanical Co., we are passionate about wellness and protecting the
world around us. It is our commitment to always work in ways that will improve our products and business practices to support sustainability and a better future for generations to come.
Here are just a few of our accomplishments over the last year.
We have eliminated the plastic from our product line and incorporated recycling programs in store for other hard to recycle hemp industry items!
"Refilled" is an expansion inside of our current Kentucky Botanical stores that offers our customers low/zero waste products and a full refillery. If you haven’t been in yet, a refillery is a weigh and pay
way to shop. Bring your own
containers or grab one from
the bottle bar.
Within this new sustainable living section, we also offer different eco-friendly swaps, toxin free products for the home and body. We like to think that we have you taken care of from the inside out, now.
Full refill bars can now be found in Bellevue and Covington!
HOW CAN YOU JOIN IN?
Small changes can have a big impact! Here are just a few ways that you can start small! Be sure to checkout our monthly column with Cincinnati Refined to keep learning ways to celebrate Earth Day all year long!
Starting a home garden
This is actually an adventure that we are embarking on in our own ½ acre of homestead this year. We have always nurtured the quintessential tomatoes, peppers, & herb gardens, but decided to take it a step further this year and build a container garden.
Start a home compost
It’s as easy as grabbing a counter compost bin or looking into outdoor units. Responsible Products, located in Cincinnati, has a residential compost program that is worth looking into!
REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE
Try to limit the amount of waste you are bringing in!
Repurpose some unused items!
There are tons of resources for recycling! Terracycle is one of our favorites!
Switch to reusable bags
Avoid Fast Fashion
Shop Sustainably
Choose brands that are environmentally focused!
Are the ingredients or textiles all natural, eco friendly, organic, or fair trade?
As always, thank you for going on this journey with us!
