CBD, delta-9-THC, and delta-8-THC are all compounds found in cannabis plants, but they have different effects on the body and mind. In this post, we’ll explore some of differences between these three compounds and how they affect the body.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant. This means that it does not produce the “high” associated with cannabis use. Instead, CBD is believed to have a range of therapeutic effects, such as aiding in reducing anxiety, inflammation, relieving pain and helping to improve sleep. Our CBD is extracted from hemp plants grown right here in Kentucky and is used in a variety of products, such as oils, gummies, and topicals. Delta-9-THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the compound most commonly associated with the psychoactive effects of cannabis. When consumed, delta-9-THC binds to receptors in the brain, producing feelings of euphoria and relaxation. Delta-9-THC is also believed to have therapeutic effects, such as helping to reduce pain, nausea and increase the appetite. Delta-9 is more heavily regulated due to its psychoactive effects.

Delta-8-THC, or delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol, is a less well-known compound found in cannabis plants. It is similar to delta-9-THC in chemical structure, but it has some differences that affect its effects on the body. Like delta-9-THC, delta-8-THC is psychoactive, but it is believed to produce a milder, more relaxing high. It is also believed to have therapeutic effects, such as helping to reduce anxiety and aiding in pain relief.

One key difference between delta-8-THC and delta-9-THC is that delta-8-THC is present in much smaller amounts in cannabis plants. As a result, it is less commonly used compared to delta-9-THC. However, delta-8-THC is becoming increasingly popular and is being used in products such as oils, edibles, and vape cartridges.
